2t airbox question

I have an E-ton matrix 59cc 2t scoot,and have a question.
I bought a really cool looking air filter fir it a week ago.
As soon as I put it on,ny scoot started bogging at antthing above 1/2 throttle.
I re-installed the ugly stock airbix, and she runs like the wind!!!
Im trting to undetstand why.
All my life,I've been told thst 2ts need to breathe.
Why fies my scoot run poorly, when I let it do so?

Jetting changes a lot. So fuel bounces both ways (intake&exhaust) you need to possible change the slide- needle-main jet- slow jet. Most guys wot so just a main jet.

You need to rejet the carb by at least 10% you are allowing a lot more air in with the open air filter you need to be in the 80 main jet range and the stock is probably around 70-72
