A whole lot of truisms here. Without foaming at the mouth I've been to the land of a certain European brand. They have their maintenance issues too. Over 14k on two oil changes! The 139QMB 50cc is a workhorse. Even at 14,000 km of the gauge is deceptive.

https://scooterlab.uk/part-2-vespa-g...024-hpe-rst22/ I liked the "fair amount of blown engines due to high oil consumption". In fairness the problem occurs during break in but many people don't even think about checking their oil as quickly as it's consumed during that time.
