It's official
It took a month and 2 days, but I'm officially on the road with my scooter.
I bought a TaoTao, Lancer150 from KillerMotorSports as a combination birthday and Father's Day present. The waiting game seemed to take forever, but it reality wasn't too far off the advertised mark. I will say that KMS, after a slow start, was good to work with. In the beginning, I wasn't able to get through to them, but later in the process, I got an answer every time. I had a problem with the electric choke (posted elsewhere in the forum); I contacted their warranty department and they sent out a new part...not just the choke, but a whole new carb. No bad! I finally received the MCO paperwork Saturday, but had to wait 'til this morning to get it registered. Sorry for the long post, but I'm exited and wanted to share the news. Thanks for reading. |

Tao Tao doesn't get the credit it deserves but they just work. There are many scooter dealers selling them although the 50cc models are the most prevalent. If you ride it sensibly, do the maintenance and stay safe it will last you a good, long time. Live long and prosper.

This thread was one of my first from last year. There have been quite a few changes to my bike since then and I wanted to update with a comparative picture.
This first pic was taken last summer on a ride. This next one taken today. |
