Starting to get the scoot dialed in.
2007 NSS 250. The windshield does not seem to block enough wind. The air comes over the top and hits helmet top. If you just lean foreword and down the buffeting goes away.
Has anyone replaced their stock windshield on this model? What results, what brand?
Note, mine is not the lower sport windshield it's the stock NSS.
Any help appreciated.

Look at www.helmetheadcycle.com for a windshield. Enjoy..... Happy Thanksgiving...

Thanks for the Link. I like the look of that box, what type? Does your reflex have a stock windscreen ? If not does the air hit your head as mine does. I'm only 5'8" in tall and could only guess taller riders would experience more of this.

My scoot is a 2008 MC54B-250 (257cc) (Linhai) Roketa, a reflex clone. I have over 10,000 miles on her. I am only 5'6" and the windshield is stock. The box came from www.acifica.com and is a VIP trunk. I believe it was $115.00 plus freight. I painted it silver, when I ordered it the silver was not available, so it was black. I wired in the lights, tail lights and rear spoiler light, wired as a brake light. I have installed HID's and LED's on the rear (stop/turn). I also installed a manual choke and recovered the seat. The scoot has served me well and will continue to be my work scoot. http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/rr163/hinchb/Seat%20Recover/f74545fd-a69d-42b3-b154-872d3663ec39_zps6cb1c8b8.jpg (http://s480.photobucket.com/user/hinchb/media/Seat%20Recover/f74545fd-a69d-42b3-b154-872d3663ec39_zps6cb1c8b8.jpg.html)

I had a Reflex several years ago, and switched to a taller screen simple direct bolt on replacement. It was a BIG improvement in comfort. Sorry, I don't recall the height, but it was a Givi, I believe the tallest they make. I am 6'2".

Yeah GIVI makes taller windscreens for the Reflex. I have a few points for you to
consider regarding a taller windscreen.

Can you see just over the top of your current screen? Yes? That would be good.
Windscreens can and do fog up enough to completely obscure the view. Also the
windscreen can become difficult, if not impossible to safely see through in the rain.
If you can't comfortably and safely sit upright enough to see just over the top of
an obscured windscreen, you will then need to lean off to one side or the other to
see where you are going which is not a good thing. A taller windscreen can make
the bike a little more sensitive to wind gusts. And a taller one may also affect your
fuel economy as well. By effecting a larger frontal area and increasing drag, your
fuel economy can go down.

A taller windscreen can be cut down to a size that may be a better fit for you if the
stock windscreen is too short and the untrimmed GIVI is too tall. Seems like a pricey
way to go when I myself would try to make my own DIY version of a laminar lip sort
of device. I would make it so that it could be pushed down out of the way if it were
causing the view to be obscured for whatever reason.

Just my thoughts.
