49cc/50cc Stator

Folks if your scooter has no flashers but your Headlight and Tailight work, it's not your stator. Check your rectifier first, if your rectifier is burnt and your flasher relay checks out good it's your rectifier. Also you may have drained your battery so charge it back up, because the flashers aren't working till you reach 12 volts.Sidenote: My 49cc Tao at idle volts from the stator was 14.5 AC volts.
And if you wanna check your stator go get a multi meter at walmart , i purchased mine for 10.99, unhook your battery, turn your scooter on and set your meter AC volts 20, then neg to neg pos to pos, if it's showing 14+ volts your good.

Incorrect! Running your gy6 without a battery connected is very bad for the stator and the rectifier! That is the EXACT way most stators and rectifiers become damaged, or you start a fire!

NEVER run your bike without a battery! A functional charging system should test at NO MORE THAN 13.75 volts at the battery when CONNECTED AND RUNNING!
