You Can't Keep A Good Dog Down!

I was searching around the internet for old British brands just to read about when they ended. If you're not a Veteran Rider you never heard of AJS but this is cool to see. I thought they died in the late 1950s or 60s, but no. Still alive and kicking and owned by the same people who last owned them in the 1960s. Pretty cool.

Back in the 70s, I remember reading about the Stormers in the motocross magazines. The 410 was a nice bike, but just did not have a competitive power plant.
I'm glad that the AJS Marque is still around. It would be cool if they built a big dual purpose bike competive with the Kawasaki KLR 650 and DRZ 650.

What I find so interesting is that there are so many British dealers selling Chinese scooters and motorcycles with distributors backing them with parts and warranties. If you look around you'll see many British owners happy with their Chinese bikes and using them daily. It makes me hopeful for the future of them here. AJS is a hundred year old company and I'm sure they require solidly built bikes and scooters from the Chinese.

I remember when a Chinese company bought the rights to MG and began building sports cars there. I don't remember the model name, but it was much faster than a MGB or Midget.
