A couple things to do that are free. Or very low cost.

Adjust the valves. Remove the smog junk. Spend a little money on a name brand spark plug. Get a gates or bando CVT belt.

These things may not increase power but they will actually make the engine reliable.

Other performance mods, get lighter variator rollers.

All told when you get your engine running most reliably you'd swear you added power, it's just that you pretty much got the engine in a proper tune which is what the power should be.
