Old Newbie

Hi, I’m not putor savvy so the message fumble isn’t surprising. I’m 77 been riding and wrenching nearly my whole life. Had 60+ bikes with 3 scooters. Recently got a Znen 250T-B project. It has low mileage but has been sitting out long enough that the paint is peeling. It is in decent shape and I got it running easily and discovered the main issue. The rear axle nut was lost and the drive splines were bad. After some surfing spline troubles I have tried a Loctite product repair and red thread lock on nut. It has a little runout wobble and we’ll see how it works. I see those 12” wheels are back in stock but the price has doubled. Maybe replace it and axle if not safely rideable.
