Gy6 150cc only starts when cranking fast please help

Try a S/P that is known to be good. I once rebuilt a Triumph motorcycle engine & it would not start! I have done enough of them that I knew that it had to be something simple. Even tho the plugs were new , I changed them & it started right up!
