CH80 top end rebuild

Greetings All,

I just picked up a 2000 CH80 for $300. It runs but a compression test shows dry compression of 115 and wet compression of 150. I also saw the compression bounce between 115 and 60 which suggests a sticky valve.

I'm planning on a top end rebuild of this scooter, my question for those who have done it, do I need to remove the engine from the frame to pull the head and jug? My manual says you must remove the engine from the scooter but on the chapter on head removal is shows the engine still in the frame.

So, does anybody know? Can I leave the engine in the frame to do this work?

Thanks
-Bob
