I can put a lot of stuff in my back pack but I won't be trying to haul my kayak either. I have seen guys hauling a surf board on a scooter.

I would totally get that if I lived near a surf beach! I do have a board, but have to do a fair bit of driving to get to the surf, since there's a wee bit of land called Vancouver Island between me and the open ocean.
