1500 torque and clutch springs

I have been playing around with these and the weights.before I put these in I was happy with everything but the hills.these didn't seem to help at all.im getting to much rpms and my top end is less.im at 40 mph at 8000rpms with a stock pipe.i was going 42 at 7000 before.so if I keep this set up what is my next step go up on the sliders?i went from 5 to 4.5 and was fine with the stock set up.
