how fast is a 150cc gy6 scooter

I have a 49cc scooter with a cheap 100cc big bore kit, performance exhaust, performance cdi, 100 main jet and uni filter. It has a top speed of 52 mph(GPS) on flat ground no wind. So how fast is a stock 150cc scooter?

No exact answer as there is variables like weight , tire size ETC . Many have 8 to 9 HP while my Echarm which is a liquid cooled 150 with Ducatti EFI instead of a carb puts out 12 HP and has tall 16 inch wheels . Stock it did 65 when new then 70 after break in . I replaced the rollers with sliders and it went up to 75 MPH . I got a ticket for going 72 MPH . So far I have dusted every 150 I raced even when I had a passenger . I had 12g sliders and I will try 13g soon since mine are worn down .

Now if you really want a small pocket rocket get a 2T scoot with a Minarelli also called JOG ( Yamaha design ) engine as there is boocoos of performance goodies and I can go 50+ MPH up a large steep hill . A 2T will outrun a 4T all day long except those that are chain driven since there are single geared where a CVT has gear like effects with the belt expanding

Can you weld and do custom metal fabrication ? Not worth it when you can buy a 150 or even better a 2T that you can hot rod much easier

The 150cc that I have is all stock except for the electric fuel pump. It will with my 180 lbs on board show a little over 60 mph on the speedometer. However the actual top speed is 57 mph. I have driven it on the highway a few times but had to stay at WOT to keep 55. Mine has a tall windscreen, but I think that helps streamline it more than being without.

My MC-23 style 157qmj w 13" wheels when 50-55 fully stock.

After mods, it has a top speed of 62mph GPS verified, which naturally means way more on a down hill (81mph GPS) :p

Anyway, a 157 can go MUCH MUCH faster than that video.

I have a 2004 Diamo with a stock 150cc GY6 that runs great. My results are similar to oldkid's. I'm 170 lbs. and on a level road with no or mild wind, I can get up to about 62 mph. Add in any kind of long grade or riding into a stiff wind and it's down to 45.

So it'll get off the intersection pretty quick. Good. My boyfriend keeps saying he wants to buy me that blue 2008 Vino off of Ebay. God, that thing is pretty! If it was spring, I'd probably let him do it.

Hahahaha! Maybe you're right! Then if we do split up I can tell him he has to take all his stuff. There is no room in the garage baby, that scooter needs space! Too funny. Thanks for the welcome!
