new member in need.

My first post here. I have a tiny crack in my muffler right where pipe meets the chamber of muffler. I was wondering if it's ok to drive? I have 4t 50cc scoot. I start class Monday and its my only transport. I'm 29 going back to school for first time since graduating high school. And my first child is due October 6. I have to complete this class. I also can't ruin my scoot before I do. Please help.

Welcome to ScootDawg, and congrats on the new arrival in October!

Doesn't sound like it's too big of a crack, and it's in the muffler, not pipe, correct? I think you'll be fine for now, but I would get it fixed when you can. Probably won't hurt anything though.

If you can get a pic of the crack, post it in here.

You must replace it eventually but some epoxies are rated for around 800 degrees. If you don't care how it looks maybe epoxy some muffler tape over the crack if possible. I used Quiksteel on a muffler on my 150cc and it held fine for a long time. You might get lucky.

If you a shop nearby with a welder maybe they could put a bead on the crack to seal it.
