I was in Tokyo a few years ago, there were lots of Honda Gyros (and tons of Lead 110 s, same as Elite 110 in the US) That articel was interesing, I did know it was a British design. I assumed it was Japanese since they have some really neat ideas.
I've heard them refered to as "threeters", so that's what we called them while I was there. Coincidentally, I saw 2 on Boston cragislist today.
