It's still cold
It's so cold that frozen lizards are falling out of trees.
Hasn't gotten above freezing for 2 weeks now so not doing much riding. What's the weather like where your at and have you been on any riding adventures? |

The ice is so bad on the roads here, and the temps are hanging in the low 20's with wind chills near zero! The weather is supposed to warm-up mid-week and I will be back on the Burgman. Left over road salt always makes brake service work extra enjoyable no matter how often I rinse the calipers. Adventure is not ride related. I took the stupid kitten out to show him snow and he took off in 1 foot of snow and vanished for 2 days! He came back (he does know the 'hood) dirty with fleas so I think he hid under a house to stay warm with feral cats.

Heat wave coming! I should be able to ride by Wednesday! I dont worry about the left over salt/thawing chems getting on the Burgman, I just rinse my front and rear calipers when I park it at work and get back home. That thawing stuff made my front Helix caliper so corroded. Lesson learned I think. Now I will not take the Spyder out till the roads are clean. That thing is way to complicated and hard to clean, and kinda fragile. The Zuma is my baby and will remain protected from the horrible realities of life! And the dumb cat did return.

Can spring be far off?
Some warmer temps got me motivated to get going on some maintenance.
Loaded up the Coyote an headed for the speed shop where the bike will get some much needed care. |

Fee lya ozarkman. I just did the rear tire and brake on the Burgman. Corrosion was just starting to set in so some of the hardware was tricky to remove. Needless to say, I was successful! Got everything weather proof now. Stupid, nasty stuff they put on the roads! Worse part is I rinse the front and rear brake with a quart of HOT water each during yucky roads when I get to work and home. Sometimes I miss my old dual drum Honda Elite 250. Then again, the exhaust rotted away on it and the rims would get corrosion along the lips and leak air!
