what engine do I have?

Is this the gy6 type engine?

Its a 2008 Taizhou 150cc this is what the engine plate says

Imported by JMSTAR Powersports, Inc
MFG: July 2006
Engine Displacement 150 cc
Engine Family, 8 SJMCO.15FKD
Manufactured by Taizhou City Kaitong Motorcycle Manufacture Co. LTD

I want to buy parts and start to do maintenance I have no service records
so I don't know what has or hasn't been completed

any advice along with engine model will be greatly appreciated.

The 157QMJ is very common motor and there are parts galore for it. That is the motor I have on my HotRod Trike. Great little motor and you can mod the heck out of it.

The nice thing is if you're not sure or even if your motor blows up a brand new bolt in motor is only about $350.

Basically with these engines if you have to split the cases to do work, you're probably better off just buying a new motor.
