Hi Mike
In 44 years of riding motorbikes a lot
At present date ive owed 25 proper scoots with numerous other types of motorbikes in the past. at present i have 2 proper scoots a motorcycle and a motorized bike in the stable
Hoping to add a few more scoots and motorbikes this year
I love any vehicle with an engine and 2 wheels
Take care and ride safely dear friend
Yours Hank

Got my first one in January, A Sym Mio 50cc. After a month past my learners licence and got a Sym Mio 100cc. After another month I got a Piaggio Fly 150cc which I will keep for a while. The two Sym scooters are now for sale. So that is 3 scooters in 3 months,

I've had 4 so far. Bicycles, and motorcycles too, and now a motorized bicycle too; and 2 mopeds.

ummm...11, but only two at present.

Genuine Buddy 150, Vespa GTS 250ie, Yama Vino 125, Honda Met 50, 2 Yama C3s, Yama Zuma 125 (kitted), Honda PS250 Big Ruckus, Tomos ST (almost a scooter), Vino 49 Classic, Honda PCX150.

The PCX150 is still in break-in; fast, corners very well.

All-around "best"? Honda Big Ruckus, with JCosta variator and up-jet. Lamentably sold to meet a financial crisis.

Never learned to love the Vespa, though it was powerful, smooth, and well-built; just not a good fit for me.

Best 49? Wife's 2013 Vino Classic. LC, EFI; accleration is fantastic for a 4T 49.

I'm on my first scooter now. I didn't include all the (one) motorcycles I owned in the past.

First had a 450cc Honda back in 1974. Had that about 3 years.Bought a Harley FXSTD in 2000 and had that for 13 years. Got too heavy for me so I bought a Kymco People 150 last year. Loved the scooter, but not quite enough top end for the interstates. Sold it last fall and bought a new 2012 Kymco People GTI300. Only have 200 miles on it so far, but I love it. I'm 69 so it will probably be my last one.

The '12 Vino Classic accelerates amazingly well - much more quickly than the carbed '09 Met she had before, and even faster than the C3 (which ostensibly has the same engine/drive train)...but this one has not been derestricted, and the restricter washer holds the top end right at 36mph. It just gets there real quickly, even with me aboard (5' 11", 185lbs), and handles hilly local streets more ably. MPG? Haven't really paid attention so far...

That washer will come off at the first service when my wife finishes getting the break-in miles (and thus has more riding experience). I expect that it'll top out around 43/4-something then.

Cycles/bikes...'64 C110 Super Cub, '68 C77 305, '08 Rebel, '06 VT750CB, '06 DR-Z400SM...all gone now

Yeah, fuel injection injects fuel and air into the cylinder causing a slight overpressure, as opposed to a carb version, where the cylinder due to a vacuum sucks the fuel/air mixture in.
This effect you have with fuel injection is similar to the effect of a mild turbo; especially noticeable in the low end.
It's like having the power of a 66cc kit with having only a 49cc cylinder.
