Screaming Bargains

I've been trolling the dealer websites and lately have come across many variations of this.

A 250cc bike at less than $1300?? I've had a Chinese sorta motorcycle for five and a half years now and it has been rock solid. I mean Japanese reliable. For the price of a Chinese 150 you can be rolling along with traffic and have minimal maintenance headaches. Valves that don't require an hour to reach and a kickstarter that works without snapping off. A little heads up. This is my favorite.

Judging by the numbers on the swing arm it's a Bashan and numerous sites have sold out already. Killer had it for $1400-shipped, and it's no longer listed. Get it while you can.

I saw that a local Chinese scoot dealer recently dropped the price of his 250cc Jonways over $600. The low oil prices seem to be really driving down the prices on Chinese motorsports.

When I lived in N.H. , I used to flip a lot of motorcycles. Many times I would take the good parts of many bikes & make one good one.
EX: I bought a wrecked 1970 Triumph for $25 or $50 (don't remember!) &
cross hatched the cylinders , put a new main bearing & piston pins in it & had it rebored .010 over , bought new pistons & rings , painted it & added parts that I had , spent many hours of work & sold it for $1800! The thing that I wanted to say is that I can't get over how much parts prices have gone up!
You can't make a profit like you used to! Irish
