Pre-Ride Inspection?

I posted this on another forum but it should be here too...

Back When I first started riding my Dad really drilled this into me.

Here's mine:

Every ride:
1. Blinkers, brake lights
2. Mirrors
3. Casual tire inspection (does it look low)
4. Levers, handlebars, and throttle tight?

Every day:
1. Tires (use the gauge)
2. Nuts bolts and fasteners
3. Oil
4. Everything in Every ride
5. Quick polish

Every Week:
1. Everything in Every day
2. Tire inspection for deformity, punctures, and wear
3. Check wheels, are the weights still there check brake pads etc...
4. Wash weekly and wax monthly
5. Check all fluids
6. Inspect all engine nuts bolts and fastners (remove plastics to more thoroughly inspect nuts, bolts, and fastners)
7. Perform any scheduled maintenance

I hope we all realize how much more important all these things are on a bike than on a car as it is rare that any issues you miss on a car will kill you. Post your pre-ride inspections or add to mine if I missed anything...

Thumbs Up Scootnwinn for the winn!

I gave you Five Stars

I like useful and sometimes life saving information like this. All it would take is one thing to go wrong on a scooter and you could be very injured, or worse.

Yours truly and dearly
