2015 Icebear Mad Dog problems part 2
I bought a brand new 2015 Icebear Mad Dog back in November. The scooter has a digital speedometer/odometer and the battery icon light flashes while I'm riding. As soon as I stop, the battery light goes off. I took the scooter back to the dealership and they had their "mechanic" check it out. The "mechanic" said there was nothing wrong, but they ordered a new speedo from Icebear. 2 months later the part shows up and I had it installed by the same "mechanic". Driving home the battery light starts flashing. I went back to the dealership and got the runaround. So if anyone has any ideas on what could be causing this problem I'd appreciate the input. Thanks in advance.

I would check the fuse, remove and reinstall, or the ground. It sounds like there's a slight current fluctuation. Frankly, I would check across the battery with a volt/ohmmeter and see if it's charging. It should be 12.5 volts without the engine running and 13+ volts with it running. If that's OK then it's either a defective gauge or a bad connection somewhere.

When I lived in N.H. , I had two customizing & repair motorcycle shops. About 35.!% of my work was fixing things that "mechanics" said was OK! Anyone can say they are a "mechanic"! I would get someone that really knows their stuff & forget what the shop "mechanics" say. Their main job is to save the shops $. Irish

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. So I went to talk to the guy who owns the scooter shop and got the run a round. He claims that he contacted Icebear and that Icebear told him that they didn't know what causes the problem and it isn't a big deal and to just live with it. The owner refused to replace the scooter or give me a refund. He offered to give me a "racing CDI". What a joke. So I wrote a really nice review about his "scooter shop". Live and learn. The scooter will be up for sale soon.
