Good choice. It will be worlds better than a bicycle.

Thumbs Up

A "Handsome Boy". Good choice, that's the easiest bike to get body parts for.

No scooter guys. Ran into a financial issue after I ordered it. Card wouldn't go through when it was time to pay for it. Back to biking everyday.

Craigslist Dude. You might find one that needs a little fiddling for not much money. The stories from that will make great prose.

Thats sound advice from kz1000st.
Just had a quick look in your area, (I'm also seeking an older Helix for a build project for next year) and you do have some choices man over a new crate.

https://newhaven.craigslist.org/mcy/4657332871.html

I'd take a $1000.00 to him and ride away.

Then farther down a 2009 Vespa, for $1200.00 and I'd bet he'd take the 1k for his.

Beats walking, to me anyway. Good luck!!

I know Amazon is a good company and all but at least with Craigslist you get to see the scoot up close. Maybe it's just me but I want to get my hands on something before I buy.

Here you go Cheapeto.

http://scranton.craigslist.org/mcy/4636783862.html

A running Helix with some wounds. www.alpha-sports.com sells CF Moto Fashion bodywork for very little which should bolt right on.

And here's a tasty deal in the New Haven area.

http://newhaven.craigslist.org/mcy/4663302039.html

Here's a mild fixxer-upper for less.

"Runs when it wants to." Can you say, "Time for a valve adjustment"? A Gorilla is the former name for Wolf Brand scooters and are quality built by Znen.

They are nice finds.
I'm swapping emails with a guy down in Baltimore.
I'd like to get a couple of them, as cheap as possible. It's just something I've never done before to a motorcycle/scooter.
I'm finding some great buys right now, for the Helix's, in really nice shape.....and I can not just hack up a sweetie, junkers are in a different mindset for me.
I'll be dumping most of the body plastic reguardless of what I get.
I'll keep looking this fall, as I got another project that is space eating now in my pole building.
This project will force me to finish it.
Thanks.
