oil reset button

A few of you may know this answer. I can't find it and the Kymco forum can't answer it for me.

I recently changed the oil on my 08 Kymco Xciting 500. Every 6 KM or so the oil change light comes on. I change the oil and it is reset.

This time I changed the oil before the light came on (I figured I was close). It came on 1 day after I changed it and I can't find out how to reset it.

The owners manual does not have the answer. Kymco forum doesn't have the answer.

Ideas?

in advance

Did you try disconnecting the battery for an hour or so, so everything resets itself?

Well that's just it. My bike had a lot of work done over the past few months (from the "incident") and I figured that the oil change timer - for lack of a better word - was fudged anyway. So I was surprised when it came on.

I'll figure it out. Swearing at it did not help. I'm going to try hitting it with a large hammer next.
