Hola! Just got my first Taotao scooter! Now what??
Greetings Everyone!
I just got a 2010 Taotao 50, and am a little disappointed! I hope to use this forum to meet other people, and learn how to get the most from my Taotao! I had a Honda years ago, which was great, but the Taotao caps out at 30mph, and slows to 20 on a slight incline. I'm afraid of what might happen if I tried to drive it up a hill! I was told some things about this bike, including that I might need to check the compression, the rings, and replace the carborator. I'm fine with all that, but don't know how! :-) I'm also going to try to find ways to get more power from it, so I don't have these issues. Evidently, there isn't a governor, so I would really like any tips you might be willing to give! Anyone in Denver want to come over and work on it with me? :] It will be great to meet all of you! |

Thanks!
It will be fun to learn about! I hope to learn more in some of the other threads about how to increase power. Restricted by factory? I did read there's no governor, any ideas on what I need to do? I like the pic of yours, mine is the yellow one! Lol- |

Most are restricted by a plate in the exhaust system and a washer in the CVT This video will explain and even though its a different model the info can be applied to most 4 stroke 50 cc scoots http://vimeo.com/2575002 Take care and ride safely Yours Hank
