Exclamation New Question for WheelBender?

Are you in the area of Texas that will be affected by the hurricane? If so be careful! I went thru that in Fla before & a lot of damage was done by the different directions of the wind. We were lucky & only lost an awning but others lost a whole carport. These are things that can be replaced but a life doesn't quite work the same way besides now you have enough sense not to do all of the stupid things that you did when you were younger. Think of all the memories that you'ld lose! Irish

I have been thru a good number of hurricanes AND a tornado in Kansas of all places, and Mother Nature does not play around! I carry flood insurance even though my 'hood is not in a flood zone. That last "storm" Mathew flooded places I have never seen flood in my whole life living on the east coast of Va! I was not aware that Wheelbender was out of Texas. All of the members here in Texas please take care and use common sense! Then, when the all clear is upon you, roll call so we know everyone is ok!

I evacuated Friday night to a town that is a couple of hours inland. I think my house is ok. Flooded roads prevent me from returning. Thanks

A neighbor just gave me a report, Irish. My place is in good shape. I can return when the roads dry out. That may be a few days.

From what I see on TV , it looks like Texas is really catching He** or many people were very unprepared! I spent sometime in that area (many yrs. ago) & I cannot picture a lot of that area having problems with water but Mother Nature plays many unexpected tricks! Irish'

P.S. WheelBender: Glad to hear that your house is OK.
