Many online dealers sell Tao Tao. www.gsmotorworks.com has a list of Tao Tao specs on their site. Many forums have online manuals for 50cc GY6 scooters with directions on how to way on the engine. The engines are all the same in Chinese 50cc scoots so these manuals will help you understand what keeps them running.

Check out youtube.... there must be hundreds of scooter videos many of them Tao. Just type "50 cc Chinese scooter" in the youtube search window. There are several on learning to ride them also. Main thing I'd emphasize is safety, learn to steer, brake and emergency stop. Tell her to learn to ride like she is invisible because that's what it amounts to.
