Yea, ~300 miles is about what I'd expect for the first (major) stage of break in to be finished. Remember to change your transmission oil soon, and switch to a good synthetic 2T oil at around 600 milles.

Yes it is tight when new and will be less friction in the cylinder with more miles thus making it easier for the piston to go up and down . Make sure to avoid long durations at the same RPMs and go up and down in speed in the midrange to further break it in . You should see an increase of power at 1,000 miles like I did on my 2T

On my 50cc 500kms is enough, but my EVO150 started getting better performance at around 1000km.

I changed out the gear oil yesterday,didnt look bad but I no it needs to be done.
