Hi Has anyone installed one of these on your 150CC gy6 type scooter?

30mm Performance Carburetor and Intake 150cc GY6

I want to know the pro's and the cons. Did it boost speed any? Was it easy or complex to install? Was it worth the money and trouble?

Without a Big-Bore-Kit and appropriate camshaft, the 30mm flat-slide carb is FAR TOO RICH.

As for complexity, it is no more or less complex than a stock carb.

As for performance gains, there are none, in fact, without a BBK you'll GREATLY loose power and acceleration.

More gas does not equal more power. Optimum power comes from carefully balancing the carburetion to what your bike's engine considers optimum.

For a stock 157qmj or 1p57, that usually equates to a 24mm carb with a main jet #110 to #125 depending on MANY factors such as altitude, humidity, air temperature, type of air filter ect.

I didn't install it myself, my friend did it for me, so I can't really comment on how easy it was to install. He didn't seem to have much of a problem installing it, though. I think it was definitely worth it. Yes, it does make my scooter run a bit faster.
