150cc scooter swap
So I'm swapping engines on my scooter/redoing the entire wiring, I've run into a few issues. I'm using a 8 pin regulator/rectifier Like this one. my question is do i still need to use a voltage regulator like This . I have both sitting around and I'm not sure if used both on the last engine...or if i just have spare parts sitting around. All wiring diagrams i look up only show the regulator/rectifier and no voltage regulator? I assume the 6 pin will take care of voltage regulating as well?

upon further looking around, i found that the old engine has a 11 pole stater. I assume the 6 pin regulator was added when the 11 pole was installed, and the 4 pin regulator was just left on the bike instead of removed? Still a bit confused, and if anyone can clear this up it would be appreciated. as far as i can tell, the 4 pin regulator is not needed at this point?

use your old stator, for the new one you would have to change the harness, and the regulator. If you swap your original stator everything can stay the same
