I had a similar experience when my scoot was new. After having removed the PAIR system, during the PDI, I routed the fuel tank vent line to a high point on the frame, and added a fuel filter to keep dirt, dust, etc. out.

One time after filling the tank, and then driving about a mile to McDonalds for coffee, I parked it on the side stand. When I had finished my coffee, and walked out to the scoot, I noticed a small wet spot under it. Further investigation proved the problem to be fuel dripping from the vent filter, even though it is a good foot higher than the fuel tank. The vent nipple is located on the left side of the tank, so if full, and parked on the side stand, vent is covered with fuel.....then as the air and fuel warm, (after coming from a nice cool underground tank at the gas station), the expansion forces it out the vent.

My solution: I don't park it on the side stand, and after fueling, I make sure I run it more than a mile or two before shut down.

This happened to me only the one time.
