"Pull the plug" when it comes to the stock airbox means there is a restrictive inlet inserted between where the air intake and the filter meet. Usually it's a donut shaped ring which you can simply take out with pliers or needle nosed pliers. Make sure to readjust your fuel/air mixture if needed
