Morality seems to cycle up and down over decades in the US. We were a decadent society in the 20s but leaned more toward morality in the 30s. Reverse it for 1950s and 1960s. Seems like that anyway.
I have my own ideas about preventing school shootings, but the subject is too emotionally charged for me to discuss on line.
-In the 1880s, bank robbers were menacing western towns with impunity. Then, the telegraph arrived in the west. Descriptions of the robbers could be sent to nearby towns quickly via telegraph, making it easier for the Marshalls to capture them. The bank robberies became a thing of the past.
-I don't think there are any such inventions on the horizon that will prevent school shootings. I think the solutions will be multi-faceted, and will infringe on peoples privacy and rights.
