Hey guys thanks for your response. So I think the problem was the old ignition coil and the boot was really beat up and the valves were way too tight. Got the carb dialed in on the money and the plug looked perfect. When I finally got it to the best I could get it (a whole lot of kicks but would start) and started putting everything back together on the body. IT NOW STARTS FIRST TRY ELECTRIC EVERY TIME! Which makes me think maybe it was electrical or having the brake light connected again? I'm so glad it starts like new now. It is running better than ever and is fastest its ever been. Acceleration in the dead zones 20-25 is faster and is hitting a new top speed well past 35 with a few lighter rollers in the vari. I'm beyond ecstatic and relieved. Can't wait to put a bbk on!

I couldn't have gotten my bike to where it is without all the info on the scootdawg forums. Thanks everyone and thank you for the forum!
