They are selling 250cc Yongfu scooters on my local craigslist. They look a lot like the old Linhai Aeolus.
Anybody have experience with Yongfu Powersports?...

Sounds like an air leak in the intake somewhere. Check all gaskets in the intake; manifold to engine, manifold to carb, carb to air box. Try some gasket sealer if gaskets show no damage.

For me. The mechanical simplicity of an electric scooter is the biggest advantage. If it uses a hub motor, there is no chain, belt or cvt.
