Chew On This

For a mere $7499 you get the performance of a $1000 Tao Tao. |
For that $$$$ I'd get a burgman or better yet,
The BMW 400. I know you guys love the China scoots but I'm lusting after the Bimmer myself |
Yea that price is a little ridiculous.
|
There is one Vespa model I consider to be worth the high MSRP. That Elettrica ain't it.
I second the nomination of the Beemer C400 as a better ride for the money. https://newatlas.com/bmw-c400x-scooter/52196/ |
Shocking news for all of you. I read in a respective magazine that the BMW 400 is being made by Loncin in China to BMW specs. Of course it will be a great scooter but it won't be built in Germany.
|
I didn't know that fact, but it doesn't surprise me either.
Manufacturing is international today . I owned a Yamaha vino that was made in taiwan. I loved that scooter and Yamaha took great care of me while I had it. |
I knew that BMW used a lot of Chinese made parts, but I didn't realize that some of the bikes are assembled there as well.
-The Beemer G310R and 310GS are assembled in India. -I think Volvos (autos - not heavy trucks) are assembled in China, as well. |
might aswell just buy a used petrol vespa
|
Small town use only. Also, got to have a 220 V socket in the garage, unless they make a 120 V version now?
Still, it's a start. (just not a serious one) I can't wait to see what Honda and Yamaha come here with. |
