Best scooter for a disabled person.
Long story short a buddy of mine in TN used to be a cafe racer. He had a non biking related medical issue that pretty much ruined his legs. He can walk with a cane and such and get about but would not be able to mount a :scoot: anymore.
He rode 2-up with me recently and after the ride you could see in his eyes how much he missed riding. So what scoot would have little to no hump in the middle for him? I know Vespa's generally have flat floorboards but I'm curious to know about other brands? Anything to get him riding again. |
My neighbor can walk with a cane but not hold up his Scoot any longer..so he sold it and bought an Ice Bear 50cc 3 wheel Scooter. I hopped it up for him with an 80cc big bore kit and he rides every day he can..:yay:

Yeah, Ice Bear has the ruckus style 50cc and 150cc 3 wheelers, if he likes that style. Kymco People is one of the flat floored scooters...

+3 with going with a trike scoot.

As long as we're sure MMA isn't rebranding, then OK
Guess I shoulda said the Chinese are the only ones who make a scooter trike My apologies for misspeaking http://www.icebearatv.com/150CC-Trike13 |

Hi
Imho one of these would be a great choice to consider as a vehicle for your friend http://www.theautomoto.com/ Please pass on my best wishes, I shall keep him in my heart my thoughts and in my prayers Take care and ride safely dear friend Yours Hank |
I've not seen these before! Thanks, Hank! I kinda like that sport model, w/o the roof. The design is a little funky, but I guess I'm a little funky myself...

Disabled!
I can just barely lift one leg! I found a 2006 Sportster 1200 w/ Trike kit that I really liked! Naturally it has a "hump". I had a shop that does "custom " work make me some footpegs so that I could mount it! It worked fine for me. Just an idea! You have to really like the bike before investing any money. Irish
