My jiujiu scooter gator 50s has a weird speedometer/ odometer it says MPH on one side and KPH on the other.. ( see pic)

I THINK the odometer is registering in KPH because the odometer counts very fast BUT when you are going 20 it feels like you are moving fairly fast so I think the speedometer is reading in MPH anyone have the same speedometer/ odometer like I do and know if how it really registers?:thanks:

Hmm. Kph would not apply to the odometer, as it has no time component. "Per hour" only applies to your speed.
I don't know where you live, but out west, major streets are 1 mile apart, on section lines. You could use that to check the ODO.
If your highways have mileposts on the shoulder, you could check the ODO with that.
-My son had a Buick that allowed you to switch the speedometer from MPH to KPH, but the ODO always logged miles.

It appears your speedo is in mph, and the odometer registers km. This is not unheard of, and is the way my Ural sidecar rig works. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out.....you must know how far you live from the grocery store, the post office, your bank, your sister's place....etc.

Take a trip, multiply the odometer by .6214 and see if it makes sense.

So many ways to do this... probably the easiest though, http://www.androidfreeware.net/downl...h-and-mph.html There are gobs of apps for this kind of thing.
