In case they're actually monitoring scooter web sites.

I don't understand what you're doing anymore. First you dropped scooters in favor of motorcycles. Now you drop the 650TR Sport Tourer. I might have considered buying an NK650 at some point. Its being called a "Great Bike at an even Greater Price." but not now. When the axe falls on that I might be stuck with an orphan bike and difficult to find parts.

If you're going to go all-ATV in the future, say so. No news and little support for two wheeled vehicles doesn't inspire confidence.

I'm tired of reading the Australian site and seeing all the good things we'll never get. It's a slap in the face to all your loyal owners here and reinforces the belief that the Chinese can't be trusted to maintain a presence.

while I commend you to openly state your disgust with a manufacturer about their business choices, I would like to point out that the Chinese are not the only ones to do this.

Suzuki has dropped several promising models that were extremely short lived and abandoned the customer on what were high cost @ the time models. eg: RE5

Suzuki is a Japanese company.

Isuzu and Daewoo have abandoned the american market after having a long time presence. Their manufacturing base was of course Japan & S. Korea in that order.

PSA has consolidated many of their models, thereby abandoning a large segment of their customers and they of course are Italian.

Ford motor company has already consolidated many models including world markets, and will be further reducing models to about 9 over time. They are an American company.

There are lots more examples like Diamo. Tank, Daelim, Aprilia, Binelli for scooters and motorcycles -- then there are companies like MG, Triumph that made cars- it is a business decision for most, and it shows more about their senior management malfunctions in search of profits than anything else. They are sending very clear signals of companies in financial trouble with incompetent management like that of the US bailed out Government Motors and Chrysler.

Here's the thing. In Australia they have a wide range of models we're not seeing here.

CF Moto in China is building a KTM Duke and is in partnership with them.

In other Countries more models are being sold. My beef is with the people in Minnesota. They are slowly abandoning the two wheel market. The NK650 is comparable to the Kawasaki ER 6n, which sells/sold at $2000 more. I can't help wondering if the $5500 price tag they're selling them for now is a Fire Sale to clear them out so they can stick with ATVs. They've done this before. The 250 Fashion was going for $1500 at the end of their sale life so they could get rid of them. I would shut up if the people in China were responsible for this but I don't think they are when the bikes we don't get are selling elsewhere. It's the Mis-management in Minnesota that's responsible

KZ, have you considered the idea of becoming a direct importer for these scooters, since the current importer has given up that market?

It would not be a cheap venture, but could be started for probably mid to high 5 figures or low 6 figures.
