What parts should I have on hand?

I'm getting a TaoTao Quantum (Titian150). It has a GY6 I believe. I know it's a Chinese Scooter and may not be as reliable as a Honda, Yamaha, Etc. But that's what in my price range and don't mind getting my hands dirty. Taotao has built an incredible machine. What you have to remember is that it cost 1/3 the price of a comparable sized Japanese scooter. YOU CAN'T FLOG IT LIKE A RENTED MULE AND EXPECT IT TO SURVIVE. Pardon the caps but I'm trying to get a point across. I had a 150cc Chinese scooter for eleven years, put 10,000 miles on it with little trouble. You can run these scooters at 3/4 throttle all day, every day but if you run wide open all the time it won't last. The metallurgy just isn't there yet.

I have a 2009 CF Moto 250cc. I have done three hundred mile trips on the Interstate with it several times. I have to keep it at 62/63 mph or I know it will fail. 17,000 miles without a problem, so far, and it just keeps chugging. I know if I test its top end for a lengthy run it will blow. CF Moto sold them for $1500 at the end of their time. A Honda Helix, which it's a copy of, cost $5500 at the same time.

You should be fine with the Taotao. Dont worry about keeping parts on hand, but do keep up the recommended services and have them done. NIce lookin' scoot by the way!
