new member with trouble

So my names Keith I'm from Aberdeen Maryland. I have a 2012 taotao 49-50cc scooter. I have put numerous parts into the scooter. When I bought it I had no idea that there is that much too them. I had bought it with the intention that it need a new belt cause a friend couldn't get it on. Needless to say it needed more he sold the cdi box. So I bought everything and some because it would not start. Well now it starts some times but Boggs out. Without the belt it runs fine revs up and everything. Why is it doing this please help. And when it does start with the belt on it dies down and the back wheel doesn't got as fast as it should. Thank you for your time.

Look at all the vacuum lines and make sure they're healthy and connected. After that maybe crud in the carburetor. If he bought it three years ago it may have sat with fuel in it and it turned to sludge.

I did try it I heard it could be the clutch. I have cleaned the carburetor float and everything.

I find it hard to believe it's the clutch. If you take off the belt does the engine rev?

Yeah and it sounds perfect. And i put it back on and Boggs out

So it's bogging under load? I'll stick with the vacuum leak. A lean running engine will do that. Try covering part of the air intake at the airbox or carburetor. If it improves you must have an air leak somewhere or a hose that's misplaced.

I do and it doesn't really do anything. I'm so confused

How do I check for that and the only reason I think its clutch cause the old belt ripped and I cant get the bolt off to the clutch.

You need a clutch bell holding tool, like a strap wrench, and a big breaker bar.

I got the clutch off how do I know if its bad now

Check the shoes for wear and the springs on the arms for tension.

The shoes are bad do you mind if i upload it and show ya❓⁉❓❔

You can but I think you have part of the answer to your problem. New clutches are cheap and everyone carries them in stock.
