If your original setup had the normal 105 main jet, you might try a 110 with your new air filter. Bogging at higher throttle settings usually means too rich. Changing jets is always a trial and error deal. Believe the starting point I read somewhere was, 1 step up for intake (105 -110)...2 steps for intake and exhaust upgrade (105 -115).... For some reason the 115 works well in my scoot, even tho I only changed the intake side..Keep at it.....you'll get it right....Bob

Yepper, seems the 115 jet was to much for just an air-filter change. So next onto exhaust once I have the funds LOL

So I have rebuilt that carb and redid the new air filter so it is now pulling air from the outside of the scooter.

When I rejetted and then when I added a K&N filter, both times I had to readjust the the idle and air mixture screws.

A guy I was riding with a week or so ago, had his riding day ruined as when it started to rain very hard, his air filter sucked in a lot of water. His is mounted to come out right under his seat, on his gy6 150 Ruckus.

I figured that rain would be an issue, but the summer rain fall here is Zero. maybe see rain by Nov. And by then I will pick up a shielded air filter.

But while we do not get rain the dust can be really high and the road temp insanely high, so the higher I get the airfilter the cooler the air source.
