2016 season is over 4 me

With our recent snow, and because all of the roads, (at least in my area) have been salted pretty good, my bikes are put away for the season.

It's been a good year......no breakdowns, or mishaps.....scooter is still running like a champ. Since spring, it has covered 2608.9 miles, made 27 fuel stops and purchased 31.328 gallons of gas. Fuel expense was $94.15 including the 12 ounces of MMO that I added at the rate of .4oz per gallon. I have done 3 oil changes in the last 12 months, they total $6.76.

That figures to just under 3.9 cents per mile.....pretty darn cheap transportation, and so far, (knock on wood), 100% dependable. :scoot:

By the way, the combined total for my other 3 bikes, was 4,640 miles this year. So you can see the scoot gets out more often.

Sorry your riding season ended, but it must be fun to live in an area with a true change of seasons, with brilliant leaf colors in the fall.

You could always move to Florida! Misery loves company! My wife wanted to move here , I'd rather be up North. I've lived in N.E. all of my life. Our kids are still in N.H.:hehe::tdown: Irish:scoot::nuts:

Winters were awesome in the Phoenix, AZ. Winters are fairly warm in the Houston area but it rains a lot.

Now, 2017's riding season is done. Where the heck did the summer go? Seems like it just gets started....and it's over. We had record amounts of rain this year....so that cut into bike time a bit, but still covered a bunch of enjoyable miles. Breakdown went like this:

Scooter...1,962 miles / BMW (Schultz)...1,865 miles / BMW (Dooley)...1,733 miles, and the Ural Troyka (Boris)...3,345 km (2,078 miles)

That's 7,638 bike miles for the season. Not bad for a wet summer, and a 70 year old rider.

I got very few miles this season. My job is only seven miles away, two days a week. There was very little chance to joyride so while I rode everything, it wasn't very far. There is always next year.
