Troubleshooting Vac Leak

TaoTao 150cc not starting. Brand new carb. New batt. Manual petcock. Uni air filter. Valves set .004. Spark, compression, and fuel are all spot on. All carb hoses connected properly. I believe I’ve got a vac leak somewhere. Any advice regarding pair and evap system removal? I’m very comfortable with the procedure at hand including the blocking plate installation on the valve cover. Just looking for any insights before I get into it. Thanks in advance for all responses!

The first thing to do is to identify where the leak is before ripping everything out. Have you tried spraying starting fluid at specific locations?

I will try that. The scoot ran perfectly all summer. Sat for 10days and now it just won’t start. The intake manifold is also suspect, tho I’ve inspected it thoroughly for cracks. Something went wrong in 10days and its not the gas or carb.

Did you try spraying some starter fluid into carburetor and see what happens. Before tearing into everything and getting into a mess

Similar symptoms on my Jonway 150cc. Checked everything fuel related. Solved by replacing Ignition Coil and the 6-pin AC CDI. Just in case.
