what does soft seized sound and feel like?

today my vento 2 stroke stopped for no reason while i was cruzin
when i started it up and revving it i noticed there was no smoke from the exhaust

it kind of bogs down until shuts off, loses all power and sounds way different then normal, just cutting off aint soft seizing and lack off oil will cause a soft but going by the sight of smoke from the pipe isn't 100 percent either, neither of my 2t smoke from the pipe

From what teddy explains, could it feel like while riding you just flick the engine kill switch?

I had a bad seize and it locked up the rear tire . I had it softseize twice on another engine but it fired up after it cooled no problem . Soft seize is when your running too lean like too small of a main jet or too much oil . Pull out yoursparkplug and compare it to this chart to get an idea on how the jetting is http://www.4secondsflat.com/plug_chart.html

yea my rear wheel locked up too, i premix 40:1 since the oil pump is broken

using stock airbox, 85 main jet, it did fire up after a few seconds

50 or 70cc ? Who told you to use 40 to 1 ?

mopedhi 10-12-2013 04:19 AM

70cc, someone from a local forum said 40:1 for 70cc kit

skuttadawg 10-12-2013 04:28 AM

Its old but here is some premix info http://www.bridgestonemotorcycle.com...oilpremix6.pdf I used 50 to 1 in my pedal mopeds

prodigit 10-14-2013 09:56 PM

50:1 sometimes gives problems, I had the same oil for my mopeds.
They recommend 16:1, but in reality that's too much oil.
Most people use a 32:1 ratio. Using 50:1 generally causes more engine wear.
