Used 2005 Piaggio or new Wolf scooter?

Hi guys, I'm getting a new scooter, and am between a new 2018 150cc Wolf scooter or a 2005 200cc Piaggio scooter. Both would cost around the same amount of money. The Piaggio scooter has had 2 owners, and has a little over 5,000 miles on it. The current owner says he hasn't driven it much the past 2-3 years, maybe a couple times each year. He winterizes it each year, but hasn't changed the oil in the past 2-3 years since he hasn't been driving it much. He says he changed the battery within the past year. No other service has been performed since he's had it (no spark plug changes or inspection by a mechanic). It has a crack in one of the side mirrors and some scratches on the front, but otherwise appears to be in good shape externally. The front and back tires both have good tread left. Haven't had a chance to give a test drive yet. I know the Piaggio brand is better than Wolf, but I wasn't sure how the age of the Piaggio played a role. I was wondering if you guys thought I'd be better off with a new Wolf scooter or the used Piaggio.

TL;DR: I'm going to buy either a new 2018 Wolf scooter or a used 2005 Piaggio scooter with 5,000 miles on it for the same price. Which do you think would be better? Thanks everyone!!!!

I would be tempted to take the Piaggio if it feels tight and solid when you test drive it.
If if the Piaggio doesnt feel right, get a new scooter.

The Piaggio 200 engine is a very solid unit and will do about seventy mph plus all day. The Wolf is a good unit but the Piaggio was the work horse of the family. You could use the Piaggio on the interstate or cruise around town. The Wolf is not highway capable.

I have yet to hear anything bad about Wolf brand scooters, but the Piaggio 200cc motor is bulletproof, and its attached to a fine riding scooter.
