won't start
I have a 2019 Peace 50cc scooter that won't start. It seemed that it wasn't getting fuel, so I replaced the carb, still no start. I disconnected the fuel line at the carb and when I turn the engine over it pumps fuel out of the hose. I checked for spark, it has spark. I checked the valve clearance, .004 both valves. Checked compression, over 150psi. Squirted some starting fluid through the air cleaner tube, still nothing, doesn't even try to fire. The battery is fine. The timing marks line up. Even removed the spark plug and sprayed some starting fluid in the spark plug hole, put the plug back in, not even a single fire. So it seems like it would at least fire at least once, but it doesn't. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Could it be that the ignition box isn't working right? I guess I'll get a new one & see what happens.

From your description it sounds like you kept the same spark plug. Try changing it. I've had plugs that sparked outside the engine but wouldn't fire under compression.

I did not put in a new plug. It fired nicely outside of the engine. I didn't know it could fire outside the engine but not fire when installed in the engine. I will try that, thanks!

The valves should be at. 005

I had replaced over 15 carbs and completely rebuilt 5 engines before I realized the valves come too tight out of the factory.
