Scooter Jetting - First Time Advice? 150CC CY6

OK I really like my BMS Prestige 150. However it is running lean (plug is white white white). My first UP jetting is described below. I'd like advice and comments (sage wisdom)....

Removed original 110 main and went in with 120 main, I skipped 115 since I am so lean. (what size jet should I go to if this is not enough. My choices are 125, 130, 135 & 140.

Removed original 32 pilot. I went in with 35 pilot, next size up with the jet kit I received. My next choices are 38, 40, 42, 45, 48, 50, 52 & 55.

Pilot Jet - Original was short, sat deep in the pocket it screwed into. New Pilot Jet is longer, mouth sits flush or slightly proud. (is this a big deal?)

Needle has a flat top and does not have clip ring adjustment.... (is this a needed mod, where you can adjust the height?)

I only took it on a short test hop. Seems to run fine, as usual. No top speed test. Still a little boggy in mid range acceleration, but overall same or slightly better.

I am still trying to break it in. With 150 miles on OD I tried to go for top speed first time. Not impressed. Seemed fine at 45 mph, but I was surprised at low top end. I thought 55mph would be doable? I think the wind-screen I put on might be draggy. The BMS Prestige 150 has a big body work and fairing. I like it, but it must cost speed.

COMMENTS FOR A NEWBE RE-JET-ER....

Jetting is always a trial and error deal. To many variables to say what will work for you.

In my case the 35/115 combo work well. I have run this set up along with a K&N filter, on a rather long intake runner, since June of 2012 when my odometer read 366 miles. My original spark plug looked like this when recently replaced at 12,000 miles.

As far as top speed goes.....I have no idea what mine will do....never attempted to find out. It climbs the hills I live in very well, hums along nicely at 40mph, and averages over 80 mpg. I can't ask for any more.

Thanks for reply.. it just feels down on power compared to the scooters I ran it in Vietnam and Thailand. I didn't expected to have the power of a motorcycle with a gearbox but it's kind of doggy.

none of the above -- my main jet is #118
