Speedometer not accurate

I have a new Tao Tao Roman 150 and love it so far. Using an app on my cell phone it appears my speedometer is off. It's fairly accurate at lower speeds but once I get above 30 mph, it seems to be about 7-8 mph under what the speedometer app is reading. The odometer is working fine. Is there any fix for this or do I just have to live with it?

As any other scooter owner, we all live with it.......

So true! I went to a scooter ride today and found out how common this problem is...even with the Vespa owners!

Mine is consistent, but consistently double. I pull out my phone every now and again to see what the speedo app is telling me and it never fails that my speedo is double. Only one of MANY issues I live with.
