|
|
Looks alot better with the white tip!
|
Thank You!! You seem to be the only one follerin my thread now ! WTF ! lol
Since my buddy has been having a lot of GO FAST parts overnighted fom china, I have to make mine a little more stout so I can atleast hang with his. So I put in 12.8 and 9.8g rollers in and the take off and top end is satisfactory for the time being. Hopefully I will have DR.SCOOT over to make some videos of it! |
Nobody follows my thread either were like the only ones that comment each other i gurantee most people on here only run BOLT ON stuff and never fab there own crap and probably run a 50cc and own a CAT!!!ROFLMSAO We should with great technical knowledgeable people!
|
i wish i could fab my own crap but alas, i only own a cat...
|
|
Well my stator has fried completely so now I am having to pull the Balancer to replace it. So while im doing this I decided I would rewire the scoot once again. I moved every component possible close to the battery for a cleaner more streamline look.

I have a ruckus seat frame that I will soonly be adding to mine for (1.) a seat and (2.) a better tail light setup. May also run a different tank for a cleaner look.
Stay Tuned My Fellow Elite ScootDawgs ! |
heyere is some mock up pics. i will modify the back the of seat frame. I dont like the LOOP so tall.

|
Lookin' good!
|
shes gettin there lol its gonna be a lot of work...probably not even worth it to be honest
Ps- Thanks :scoot: |
Im having a very hard time getting this seat frame to look right , bout to GIVE UP lol
Its a pain because my frame doesnt stay straight at the back like a Ruckus , mine bends in,making it skinnier, throwing everything off and making the gas tank want to hit the frame as well... UGH!! |
Been messing with t he tank a little bit m0re. I installed the tank on the top side of the seat frame for more clearance and cut the back loop off for when I shorten it.

Man that seat frame looks alot better and more importantly will be nice and smooth when we go on some long road trips!
|
You're my hero meanmotofino! I'm trying to do the same. It seems like there's more to it than just welding new mounts. The stator plug is different than the qmb's. And the wheel hub is larger. Which means I need new rims that'll fit the bigger brakes and a new rectifier. But I have no clue which rectifier. Is there such a thing as 12" rims for the 150s bigger brakes or I must go up to 13"?
Did you change your rectifier and rims and reharness from the rectifier to the stator plug? |
You can run 12". If you dont need the rear brakes (like me) you can make a 10" work. I had to for awhile although I dont recommend it.
As far as wiring.. I just cut and spliced the wiring that come out of the motor to the existing 50cc wiring.. Worked fine for a while. That is until I shorted a wire out when I was welding the mounts in and it fried my stator lol BTW I have an 8 pole stator/4 wire voltage regulator. |
|
Looks good!
|
I have been altering the height of the seat to what I now feel is where I will like it the most. All I have to do is weld it in and mount tail light:yay:
Here are a bunch of pics.... lol http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps6df915e0.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps52541fcf.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...psf039beba.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...psfae919cf.jpg Also...FINALLY removed my balancer to replace the stator  http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps77afc6bc.jpg Pretty nasty looking stator :lmao: http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...psd8aad478.jpg |
Na, HERE'S a nasty looking stator.. :D
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...ly4/STATOR.jpg Scoot's looking great though! You definitely have skills! |
Woah.... did you find that motor at the bottom of the ocean?!!! lol
Thanks for the kind words : ) |

lmao Looks like it, right? I don't know the story behind it, found it on another forum I visit years ago. |
Nice transformation so far, cant wait to see it finished. I love seeing build threads like this. Kudos.

Going to work on it right now :scoot: |
Well thanks to some much needed motivation from my buddy Gary, I got off my Lazy *** and worked on the scoot a little bit. I basically just cleaned up the engine for when I put the new stator in (ordered last night  )
The engine was hideous from where I have been cutting & grinding on the frame to add the ruckus seat frame to the top. Also, I broke one of my engine covers when I had first attempted to pull my flywheel off. So I fixed that today with a new one :taunt: http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps62631b41.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps3fbd9e82.jpg |
Glad I could be of some inspiration to someone. hehe BTW love the black/white!
|
Thanks buddy!! : )
Well this morning I had to fabricate the rear loop of the seat frame... because I SOMEHOW misplaced the stock one which I cut off. I have no idea where it went...and would honestly rather have usedd that but this will have to work I guess. Sorry for the crappy pics, I was working by myself.. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...psd53c3dab.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps6178fd7a.jpg |
I got some more work done today.....
I custom redneck lowered my handle bars and I burned my seat frame in today as well...whacha think? On the way to the shop (where the welding machine is) http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...psfaf1d7f7.jpg Welding loop on http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps6a71d463.jpg Weld seat frame http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...psf43056ca.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...psbf6f1e94.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps057b3f00.jpg Going back home http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...psb31ed0f4.jpg |
|
|
you better get a pad so your gas tank is more comfortable ;)
looks good. Can't wait to see what is next |
Thank man I appreciate it !! :taunt:
I have a ruckus seat that came with the frame...but I think I will just make my own out of some foam. I fit perfect on the very back where the loop thing is lol |
do it in white with black piping
|
whats that ... white seat with the seat frame black?
I think I understand what your saying lol but if I do the foam, sadly it will literally be just a piece of foam...not leather or fancy covering for now. Yours Motofino |
Lowered the front a little bit today

Another member posted a pic of them and their scoot so that motivated me to post a pic I would otherwise never post...
This is me yesterday trying to get a feel for the scoot (lower handle bar,new seat setup) http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps789b19af.jpg My stator will be going in tomorrow , so that leaves just making a tail light work to be able to ride again... I hope |
