Does anyone have a recommendation for a place to buy a new Gy6 150 cc engine that is safe. I see them from $200 to $320. Complete engine. But most are in China. Anyone have experience with buying one?

I don’t have any experience of purchasing one but your best bet is buying an old one or go to a junk yard sale and purchase a scooter from there and swap the engine. That’s one of the option that I could think of.

You may want to check with a scooter dealer and see what they might have available. I don't recommend buying junked engines unless you are knowledgeable about rebuilding them. There may be some decent sellers on Amazon or Ebay selling engines also.

I have not personally purchased an engine from them. I did however ride with a guy that did, buy one, and he had no issues, that I know of.
I have watched them grow over the years. I have bought rollers and sliders from them.
